Wizard of Oz
George Whenn his story of obsession and how he started with a road-going Evo II and, step-by-step, turned it into a monster and one of the fastest ‘early’ Evos in the world.

Courtesy of leading performance lubricant retailer Opie Oils, this editions’ competition is for a £100 Opie Oils voucher that can be won by answering a simple question.

The cover story for our special Black Edition features the menacing Evo VII Drag car owned and built by Conrad Bailey. We have devoted eight pages where Conrad tells the story in his own words, accompanied by some dramatic photos.

Arc Reactor
The third black Evo to be featured is the stunning Evo VIII that was originally built in Japan as the ARC demo car. Now residing in the UK, this unique vehicle is owned by Mark Painting who tells the story.

Moment in Time
Motorsport PR man and Evo Challenge coordinator Simon Slade recalls the second of his memorable Mitsubishi motorsport moments. This one describes how the UK works team became British Rally Champions on the 2007 Rally GB.

In at the Deep End
This is the story of how Skeleton-bob Olympic Gold Medalist Amy Williams made her WRC debut on the 2013 Rally GB in November, when she co-drove for Tony Jardine in his Group N Evo IX.

This time, the car care experts at Meguair’s explain how to polish your paintwork using a dual action machine – and not get any swirls or unwanted marks.

MLRSS Hethel
Round six of the Pace Ward MLR Sprint Series took place at the Lotus tast track in Norfolk. Our reporter Simon Slade describes the action from another hotly contested day’s motorsport.

MLRSS Teesside
The season finale took place at the Teesside Autodrome near Middlesborough and once again there was a twist in the tail, as the practice runs took place in the afternoon, the competition was held in the dark.

MLRSS Winners
After the season’s seven rounds, we provide a review of the 2013 Pace Ward MLR Sprint Series that includes a full list of the final class positions, together with a photo of all the competitors.

Time Attack
The last three rounds of 2013 saw Time Attack visit Silverstone, Donington Park and Brands Hatch. Our reports from each of these events describe how the season ended up being a battle between the Evos.

MML Sports
More news from Mitsubishi’s former World Championship operation and the story of how one of the team’s cars won the 2013 Dutch Rally Championship.

Alter Evo
Once again, we’ve been in search of alternative things called ‘Evo’. This time it’s a board game entitled: Evo (the last gasp of the dinosaurs), which won Games Magazine’s board game of the year in 2002.
